My At-Home Beauty Routine
Last year, I had to get really creative when it came to my beauty routine. Since most salons were shut down, I was forced to learn how to tint my own brows, give myself a facial, tan, and take my at-home beauty routine to the next level. That being said, I actually love being able to do some of these things myself and wanted to share some of my tips and tricks for when you need to prolong you next salon visit.
Tanning
You guys ask me all the time what self-tanner I use and how I get that sun-kissed glow. My secret… this Jergens Sunless Tanning Mouse. I’ve used it for years and think it gives the best bronze color without being too orange or fake looking. What’s even better is that it’s super inexpensive and much more affordable than most prestige brands. I like to apply it all over my body using this tanning mitt.
To prolong my tan, I moisturize my skin constantly! I absolutely love these necessaire body products. Their body lotion is a gem - super hydrating, fragrance-free, and great for sensitive skin. When I need to remove leftover self tanner, I like using their body exfoliator. The sandalwood fragrance is SO good… makes you feel like you’re at a spa!
For my face, I like to add a few drops of these Isle of Paradise tanning drops to my favorite Tula moisturizer. You guys already know how much I love Tula products, and their hydrating day and night cream is amazing - mix it with the tanning drops and you’ll wake up looking like you just came back from a tropical vacation. I love doing this when I’m pale and want a little bit of color. Don’t forget to use my code kathleenpost for 15% off your Tula purchase!
Facial
I’ve shared this Vanity Planet facial steamer with you guys before, and a lot of you have gotten it and love it as much as I do. Adding a facial steamer to your beauty routine is honestly a game changer! It helps to clear pores, hydrate the skin, and makes your skin better able to absorb facial products like serums and creams.
After steaming my face, I like to use this Microdermabrasion wand. This device is designed to exfoliate and suction away impurities that can clog pores, leading to inflammation, blackheads and acne breakouts. Plus, it you snag it while it’s on sale then it would cost you less than a trip to your esthetician!
Brows
Okay, so I know I’ve shared my brow tinting kit with you a hundred times, but I just had to include it in this post! I used to spend hundreds getting my brows done professionally, and last year I saved so much money doing them myself! It’s super easy to do (like foolproof!) so get your hands on this kit and save yourself a trip to the salon. I like to use the Tinkle razors to clean up the edges of my brows - they’re great for getting peach too! They’re so versatile and a MUST when it comes to your routine!
