The year was 2015, ripped skinny jeans and blanket scarves were in no short supply, and I had just graduated college with a marketing degree in hand from Indiana University. I was just two months into my first real job when I quickly realized I needed some sort of creative outlet. I’ve always had a love for fashion & beauty and growing up, my friends would constantly come to me if they needed to borrow clothes or if they wanted me to curl their hair or do their makeup for a school dance. I loved being a resource for them and I thought it would be so fun to share those things on a larger scale!
I put my “what will people think of me” aside and started sharing more of my life on social media and my blog. I was posting more of my daily outfits, hair tips, beauty favorites, recipes, and although there weren’t many eyes on what I was posting, it felt so fun to document all of m y favorite things. As time went on, my audience grew and I was getting noticed by the brands that I was sharing. After 3 years of daily posting, I was able to turn this side hustle into my full time job and I’ve been doing it ever since!
I'm a christian and I truly believe that in the big scheme of things, none of this stuff really matters. The hair, the makeup, the clothes... it’s fun and frivolous, but doesn’t make us happier or more complete.
I hope you NEVER feel like you have to purchase anything I’m sharing or that you need these things to make you happy. It’s a balance and while it's important to not get caught up in all this material "stuff”, it’s also fun to try new things and enjoy the little things in life. I hope that this blog inspires you to try something new and gives you the confidence to look and feel your best.

I created this blog a couple months after graduating college because I was B O R E D and uninspired at my first "big girl job". I've always loved fashion and wanted a creative outlet to share that passion with you all!
I got married when I was 22 (literally right after college) to my husband (Cort) who I've known since 6th grade. We went to the same middle school and high school but didn't really become friends until senior year of high school. We dated all throughout college and he proposed our senior year!
I'm a christian and my faith is a huge part of my life. I'm definitely far from perfect but I’m so thankful for my relationship with God and the ways He’s changed my life.
I've lived in Indiana most of my life but a few years back we moved out to LA for my husband's job and lived there for about a year until his old office recruited him back. Now we're back here in Indianapolis and so happy about it! We love it here!
In 2018 we purchased our first home! It's was a 3 story townhouse where my love of home decor really grew! In 2021 we built our first home where we live now and it’s been so fun to furnish and share with all of you!
I went to Indiana University and studied Marketing in the Business School. I actually love the business aspect of blogging and am so thankful that I studied marketing in school. I was a competitive cheerleader at Indiana University and cheered for basketball and football as well! Go Hoosiers!
A lot of you guys ask about my hair... I've never dyed, highlighted, bleached, or done anything to my hair professionally or on my own. It's naturally super blonde and I use Sun-In to lighten it throughout the year. I have a curling tutorial on my IG highlights, and a whole blog post about my hair color on my blog under Hair.
I have a major sweet tooth and looooove ice cream. Of course, I love the fancy, expensive ice cream... but my guilty pleasure is a Cotton Candy Blizzard from DQ! Sometimes cheap soft serve is the best!!
We have the cutest pup, Mylo- he's an Australian Labradoodle which is a mix between Poodle, Labrador, English Cocker Spaniel and American Cocker Spaniel. He'll eventually be 30 lbs but right now he's just a little nugget and we love him so much!
