My Office

I’m so excited to finally share my office with you all! Like most home projects, they always take a little longer than expected. But, now that the walls are painted and my backordered desk has finally arrived, I feel like it’s ready to share with you guys. I’m so happy with how it turned out and I love working up here now. There’s just something about having a beautiful and inspiring place to work that makes all the difference in my productivity!

With the sneak peeks I’ve shared on Instagram, I have received quite a few questions about the space. Below you will find answers to all of the most frequently asked questions!

Paint Color:

We actually had the walls in my office “lime-washed.” It’s similar to painting them, but creates a look of texture, almost like a wallpaper, but not! I absolutely love it. We hired someone to apply the finish to the walls and they use Portola Paints in the color “Kingdom.”

Flooring:

The flooring is the same we used throughout the rest of the house, which is Shaw Luxury Vinyl Plank Floors in “Ravenswood Oak” (Planks are 9x73”). I then layered a rug on top to make the room feel warmer.

Window Coverings:

All interior drapes and shades were done by Drapery Street here locally. I love that the electric shade still lets light in but the drapes are blackout! If you’re interested in more information regarding our window coverings, check out this Instagram highlight here!

Chairs:

I have these chairs for the girls and any other guests I may have during meetings throughout the day and I love them! They are so comfortable and deep. This is my desk chair. I love that it gives me back support and that it swivels!

Desk:

I’m obsessed with my office desk, thankfully! For those that have been following along on stories, you know that getting this desk wasn’t the fastest process! But the wait was so worth it because it’s beautiful!

Light Fixture:

Light fixtures can be tough to choose for each space as there are so many options! I went with a simpler, modern flush mount light for my office in the color aged brass!
