Everything You Need To Know About UGGs
There have been so many trends making their way back around from the early 2000’s and don’t get me wrong, some should’ve never come back, but the UGG trend - yeah, I’m here for it! I can still remember the days in middle school and high school when I’d wear them with literally everything - even with a mini skirt and Hollister t-shirt (cringe)! Anyway, they’re back and I couldn’t me more excited about it. They are such casual and comfortable shoes that go with almost everything. I recently saw that they’re back in stock, so I wanted to make sure I shared the styles I love and how they fit! Read below for more information or check out this Instagram highlight for a try on!
Classic Mini
The classic mini was my first UGG purchase since high school and has definitely been my most worn! I have them in the chestnut color, which I think goes with everything whether you’re wearing black, blue jeans, etc! As far as sizing goes - it fluctuates per style. They are only sold in whole sizes, so in the classic mini style I go down to the next whole size since I’m typically a 7.5. The reason for that is because I have found that the shearling fur on the inside gets worn down over time, making the boot feel bigger. However, if you prefer to only wear thick socks with the boots, I’d maybe consider going up. I, personally, wear thin socks, hence the sizing down.
Ultra Mini Classic
The ultra mini classics are just as you’d expect - identical to the classics, but are slightly shorter. For the past couple years I have only had them in the chestnut color, but this year I added the burnt olive color to my collection! I was eyeing that color last year, but they sold out before I could purchase. I have a feeling this specific style will sell out the fastest because the shorter height is more “trendy” than the others.
Tazz Mule
I absolutely LOVE the Tazz mule! Before I purchased them I was unsure of the red embroidery along the top, however, I feel like it adds a little “something” to the shoe! I also wear neutrals 90% of the time, so the addition of red adds a fun pop of color to my looks. The platform sole gives the shoe a more elevated look, which I like when pairing them with a super casual look such as sweats. You’ll find me in these quite often this fall as I wear them with literally everything - jeans, sweatpants, leggings, etc! Unlike the boots above, I would size up if you’re between sizing. I made the mistake of ordering down like the others, but they’re a little too snug for my liking!
Tasman Slipper
Although all of these shoes can be worn outside because they have thick soles, this pair is exactly what is says - a slipper. Since the sole isn’t a platform like the Tazz mule, they appear to be more casual and more of a house shoe. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still wear these out, just not as much as the others! The brown embroidery is nice and neutral for those who don’t want the red that comes with the Tazz mule, but still want a little “something.” For sizing, go up to next whole size if you’re between sizing.
