My At-Home Winter Bucket List
Since a lot of us will be spending some time indoors this winter, and with the cold temps, I put together an at-home winter bucket list. I figured we might as well make the most of these next couple of months, so I’m listing them all below for you…
Read a New Book - I’d love to get back into reading regularly and have a few books I’ve been wanting to read. Some books on my list include: The Nightingale, In Five Years, The Woman in the Window, and Where'd You Go, Bernadette. Reese Witherspoon just came out with her new book club list too if you’re looking for book recommendations.
Play More Games - Cort and I love to play board games, especially when we have friends over. Some of our favorite games are Codenames and Settlers of Catan. I’d love to know what your favorite games are so leave them down below in the comments!
Make Chicken Noodle Soup - Is there anything better than some homemade chicken noodle soup when it’s freezing outside? Here’s my go-to recipe: bring to a boil chicken broth, celery, carrots, rotisserie chicken, and parsley (you could also add onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper). Cook the pasta separately and add it at the end (I prefer GF rotini or penne). Enjoy!
Binge a New Netflix Show - I’ve heard great things about Bridgerton so Cort and I plan to start it soon. Have any of you watched it yet?
Have a Date Night - At-home date nights have been one of our favorite things to do lately! Who says you have to go out to make is special? We like to order pizza and have some wine! Some of our local favorites are Napolese and Bazbeux for any of you in the Indy area!
Learn Something New - There are some really great sites like MasterClass where you can learn about photography, interior design, or even take a cooking class. Since a lot of us will be stuck indoors this winter, what better time than to take up a new hobby or improve your skills?
Plan a Spa Night - You know I love a good pampering session, so why not make a night out of it? I shared some of my self-care must-haves here.
Wine Tasting or Pairing - I’d love to buy a couple different bottles of wine and do a blind taste test with Cort. Pair it with some cheese and olives and you’ve got yourself a bona fide treat!
