My Skincare Routine
A few notes before I dive in..
This should go without being said, but as you know, skincare is so personal and what works for one person might not work for another. My skin is far from perfect and I’m obviously not a professional in this area which is why I’ve avoided sharing my skincare routine for a while now. Lately, I’ve received a ton of requests for me to share the products that I’ve been using so I figured it was probably time to do a full breakdown… I don’t want this newsletter to come across as me sharing what you should copy and paste into your routine; rather, I hope it can answer the question of what I’ve been doing and maybe give an idea of a few products to check out/ look into further!
I’ve been seeing my esthetician for three years now, and she has put me on a skincare regimen that has drastically improved my skin! All of the ZO and Obagi products in my routine have been recommended to me by my esthetician and I buy them in her office but the other products here, I’ve ordered online and absolutely love as well. I know this is going to look like a LOT of products (and it is).. but I’ve been slowly adding onto this routine over the past few years. My routine started pretty bare bones (cleanser, Vitamin C, Tretinoin, and sunscreen) but as I’ve been working on my skin with my esthetician, I’ve started targeting other areas and adding in more products that I love. As you’ll see, some products I only apply to a specific part of my face, rather than all over and I do phase some products in and out depending on time of year/ my skin’s needs at the moment. That said, I want to share the fulll routine today. So let’s get into it!
MY AM ROUTINE:
Cleanser:
I’ve been using this cleanser for over a year and I LOVE it. It’s gentle but gets all of my makeup off.
Disposable Wipes:
I cannot live without these disposable towels. More gentle and MUCH more sanitary than regular bath towels!
Purifying Mist:
This anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory mist helps treat blemishes, balance pH, and calm skin.
Exfoliation Accelerator:
Removes dead skin cells (great for acne prone skin) and provides a calming/cooling feeling!
Antioxidant Serum:
I love both of these & switch on and off! Helps w/ brightening and anti-aging! The two I use are this one and this one.
Peptide Serum:
I use this around eyes, forehead and smile lines! Tightens skin and reduces fine lines/ wrinkles.
