My Travel Essentials & Tips
Since I’ve been doing a bit of traveling lately, and have a couple more upcoming trips this year, I wanted to share my travel essentials with you guys. I know a lot of you are planning some getaways and it’s a popular time of year for travel, so here are my tips and tricks for making TSA and your time in the sky a breeze…
TRAVEL TIPS
DRESS IN LAYERS - I don’t know about you, but I’m always cold on planes. That’s why I tend to dress warmer (I’m obsessed with this Anine Bing sweatshirt and these sweatpants are so comfy). Not only is it cozy, but it’s chic and easy to layer.
GO HANDS-FREE - When I’m traveling, I prefer a belt bag instead of a purse. It makes getting through security and the airport so much easier. Plus, it’s more functional if you plan on sightseeing or doing anything active during your trip.
KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED - There’s nothing worse than your jewelry or chargers getting tangled in your carry on, am I right? I got this travel case for my jewelry and it’s a total game changer. It makes it so I can bring all the jewelry I want without having to worry about them getting lost or tangled. I also picked up this tech organizer for my chargers and electronics. Trust me, keeping things organized makes all the difference!
BRING AN EYE MASK - If you have a hard time sleeping on planes, then don’t forget an eye mask. It blocks out any light and helps you relax.
KEEP YOUR TOILETRIES PACKED - I like to keep my toiletries packed so that I’m less likely to forget anything the next time I travel. Get travel sizes of all the essentials so you don’t have to unpack anything.
DON’T FORGERT NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONES - You never know when you’ll be sitting next to a screaming baby, so noise canceling headphones are an absolute must!
PACK SOME SNACKS - If you’ve ever sat on the tarmac for hours before takeoff (no fun!) then you know how important it is to have some snacks in your carry on. Nobody likes a hangry passenger! I also like to fill up my water bottle before takeoff.
PREP ENTERTAINMENT - If you’re a reader like me, don’t forget a book or Kindle. I absolutely love my Kindle and don’t travel without it! If you’re more of a media buff, make sure you have some movies or music downloaded beforehand.
LUGGAGE
This is the best luggage! I’ve had it for years and it is in amazing shape still! I have sizes small, medium, and large. Note:The small is a carry-on size!
