Winter Layers with Nordstrom

It is CHILLY here in the midwest and if you’re from somewhere with brisk winters you know the importance of layers! When I’m running errands around town going from my warm car to the below freezing outdoors, then into a warm store and back, I always try to have something cozy to bundle up in that can also be shed when I make it back inside.

But the real struggle? How to layer without sacrificing a put together and sophisticated look. In my opinion, a great coat (or three) is SO important for this. You can in-fact do both cozy and collected in one and this Topshop coat from Nordstrom is a great example of that. It’s a great layering piece that will keep you warm without feeling like you’re dressing down and pairs perfectly with just about any neutral sweater. Then throw on a pair of dark denim, a nice heeled bootie, and you’re good to go!
