8 Date-Night-At-Home Ideas
Since Valentine’s Day looks a little different this year, I wanted to put together some date night ideas you can do at home. We don’t have our plans nailed down just yet.. might go out for brunch or something like that but you totally don’t have to go out to make Valentine’s Day special! So, keep reading for some of my favorite ideas and ways to celebrate at home!
Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board - Instead of meats and cheeses, swap them out for heart-shaped cookies, pink and red candies, strawberries, and chocolates for a Valentine’s Day themed charcuterie board you can snack on all day long. This one was SO fun to make!
Breakfast in Bed - Who says you have to celebrate at night? Start the day off strong with breakfast in bed. You can even make heart-shaped pancakes if you’re feeling extra festive! Cort and I have been on a major pancake kick lately- Kodiak Cakes is our fav.
Make Dinner Together - Cort and I love making dinner together, even when it’s not a special occasion. It’s a great time to bond and spend some one-on-one time together. Or skip dinner and make a fun dessert! Don’t forget to light some candles for a little extra ambiance.
Try a New Cocktail Recipe - Skip the wine and try a new cocktail recipe instead. Experiment with new mixers, fresh herbs, or juices to create the perfect concoction.
Cheese or Chocolate Fondue - Is there anything more fun than dipping your favorite foods in a pot of melted cheese or chocolate… I think not! This fondue set is super cute and pretty affordable.
Have a Spa Night Together - We all love a good self-care moment, so why not invite your guy to join in? I’ve never had Cort try out a mask but I think he would actually really like it!!
Romantic Movie Marathon - Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to rewatch your favorite rom-coms, even if they aren’t normally your guy’s first choice in movies. We just watched 50 First Dates the other day and I totally forgot how much we love that movie.
Dress Up Anyways - Just because you may not be going out, doesn’t mean you can’t dress up! Dust off that little black dress or flirty top… they deserve some love too!
Wishing you all a happy Valentine’s Day!
XO, Kathleen
